Scope and contact
This single notice covers the Urban Pixels websites, including www.urbanpixels.com, and the Brand EQ service at brandeq.urbanpixels.com, including the Brand EQ WordPress plugin and related hosted features. Brand EQ is a brand of Urban Pixels, LLC. For questions or requests, contact Urban Pixels and identify the account or website involved. Do not send passwords, API keys, payment card details or sensitive documents through a general contact request.
Information handled
When you visit our websites, contact us or register for Brand EQ, you may provide your name, email address, website address, account information, project or brand details, communication preferences and messages. Brand EQ may also process onboarding answers such as business category, audience, values, tone and visual preferences.
When you request generation or scoring, the hosted service receives the relevant content, prompts, BrandMatrix information, titles, tags, product information and image-generation preferences. Requests use your Brand EQ API key to identify your account. Activating a hosted-service trial sends your website address. Submit content only when you have the right to share it; avoid sensitive personal information.
Technical information and cookies
Hosting, security and application systems can process IP addresses, browser/request information, timestamps, errors and usage records needed to operate and protect the websites and services. WordPress uses cookies for functions such as authentication. Embedded content, analytics, accessibility tools and other third-party features may create additional connections or cookies when enabled. Your browser can control cookies, though disabling essential cookies can affect account access.
How information is used
- Provide website features, accounts, brand analysis, generation, scoring and requested support.
- Authenticate requests, complete background jobs, enforce service limits and administer subscriptions or trials.
- Maintain security, diagnose failures and respond to misuse.
- Manage communications and the marketing preferences you select.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Service providers and AI processing
Providing these functions involves hosting, infrastructure and AI providers. Urban Pixels website hosting includes WP Engine, and Brand EQ infrastructure uses Amazon Web Services. Managed AI requests are processed by the providers used for the selected service or model. Their handling of requests is subject to the applicable provider arrangements and policies.
If you configure your own AI provider through WordPress Connectors, your WordPress installation sends the generation prompt, brand context and relevant content to that provider using its connector. Your agreement with that provider applies. Review the provider’s privacy policy, including any retention and model-training settings, before connecting it. Examples include OpenAI, Anthropic and Google.
Information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on the providers and services involved. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect rights, security and the service.
WordPress site operators and storage
The plugin stores settings, BrandMatrix information, queued-job identifiers and supported content backups in the WordPress site’s database. The hosted service separately processes account information, brand data and service activity. If you install the plugin on a site you operate, you remain responsible for that site’s visitors and should describe your use of the plugin and connected services in your own privacy disclosures. Deactivating or deleting the plugin does not itself request deletion of your hosted account or erase copies held by your site host, backups or connected providers.
Your choices and requests
You can stop submitting new requests, disconnect the plugin or change connected-provider settings. You can change marketing preferences through the available unsubscribe mechanism or by contacting us. You may request access, correction or deletion of account information and ask about other rights available under applicable law. We may need to verify account ownership; some information may need to be retained for legal, security or transaction-record purposes. Requests concerning visitors to your WordPress site should also be directed to that site’s operator.
Retention and changes
Retention periods and deletion processes depend on the information, service and providers involved. Contact us for current account-closure and deletion procedures. We may update this notice as the websites and service or their processing change.
